Men's Services

About

We have services available for men who have been affected by sexual or family violence and for men seeking parenting supports. These are free, confidential and will be tailored to your individual needs.

All our services are available to men and those who identify as men.

We also offer services to men who are using violence in their lives with whānau, loved ones, children and partners. These can be voluntary or mandated. Find out more about our Programmes and prevention work here.

Prevention & Development

We are currently developing new tailored supports for men, empowering positive change and preventing violence by men through awareness, understanding and action.

Non-Violence Programmes

Waves of Change

Central Lakes Family Services is an approved provider of Non-Violence Programmes. Our programme is called Waves of Change; it is a structured course that aims to support individuals who use violence in their relationships by helping to build the skills needed to go on and have respectful non-violent relationships.

Available throughout the Queenstown Lakes, Upper Clutha & Central Otago regions.

Our multidisciplinary team of non-violence programme facilitators all meet national competencies and undergo regular professional development to ensure these programmes are delivered safely and effectively.  We work with clients to motivate change for themselves and their relationships and support them to reach their goals.

Referrals come to our service from the court (as a respondent of a protection order) or from the Department of Corrections to complete the programme
