Essential learning for anyone working with infants, children and whānau – join us in Queenstown for The Foundations of Child Protection.
A 3-hour workshop facilitated by local experienced and friendly professionals. Designed and tailored with you in mind, to empower and support you to be more informed with awareness, understanding and action. You will walk away with the safeguarding and child protection skills essential for any work or role with tamariki and whānau in our community.
Through a mixture of seminar style learning, group exercises and real situational examples we’re confident you will leave with the following…
Awareness – of family violence exposure and experiences and of your Child Protection Policy.
Understanding – and confident knowledge of child abuse and neglect, able to recognise the signs and risk factors. A further understanding of what services and supports are in our communities.
Action – when needed, responding appropriately and feeling comfortable in your duty to protect tamariki.
Upon completion you will also receive a Foundations of Child Protection Certificate.
